Rural Retreat Lake

This 90-acre lake is home to Muskellunge (Musky), Largemouth Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, Northern Pike, Sunfish, Channel Catfish, and Crappy. The lake has a boat ramp, ample shoreline fishing, picnic shelters, campgrounds, and a concession that sells food, bait, and tackle. The Wythe County Parks and Recreation Department operates a swimming pool adjacent to the lake. The boat ramp and lake are open 24-hours a day, year-round, with the other facilities open seasonally.
