The campground offers 6 camping units with parking and picnic tables, picnic shelter and fireplace; a beautiful overlook of Elk Creek Valley is accessible in the area, as well as nearby Hale Lake (2 miles), Unaka nature trail and Little Dry Run and Iron Mountain Trails. Although the campground is open year round, the road to the campground is closed in the winter due to icy and hazardous conditions.
